Pet Policy
While we welcome many breeds of dogs at our resort, certain breeds have been identified by reputable organizations—including the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Humane Society of the United States—as having a higher potential for aggressive behavior or posing an increased risk of injury. To maintain safety, certain breeds are not permitted on resort property due to a requirement from our insurance company. This includes overnight stays, day visits, and situations where pets accompany guests in their vehicles.
The following breeds are not permitted:
Pit Bull (American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, or related breeds), Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Husky (all “husky-type” breeds), Alaskan Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, Presa, Canario, and Dalmatian.
Additional Guidelines:
- Resort management reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog that exhibits aggressive or dangerous behavior, regardless of breed.
- All pets must always remain on a leash and under the control of their owner while on resort grounds.
- Guests are fully responsible for their pets’ actions, including any property damage or injury that may occur.
- Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the property without refund.
